I would like to hear the whole story here, as I'm sure there must be more to your relationship with a wild skunk.

My great aunt once told me a story of how she was walking to town and came upon a wild skunk who had got stuck with his head inside a discarded tin can. Obviously, he had been trying to get the tasty morsels in the bottom of the can, but the rim kept him stuck, and he couldn't withdraw his head. My aunt, who was a lover of nature and a farm girl, cautiously approached the skunk talking to him all the while. The back end of him being outside the can didn't bother her at all. She just knew she had to help this poor creature. While she talked to him, she gently got his head free. She was so pleased with him for not being afraid and knowing that she was there to help him not harm him, and he didn't become aggressive or spray her. Isn't that a nice story?

We need to be very kind to our wild neighbours every day.
WendySeptember Violetshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10931133319044031928noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3402363028023891254.post-54401449411984223452015-03-03T20:20:18.357-08:002015-03-03T20:20:18.357-08:00How sweet Victoria and you are very brave my frien...How sweet Victoria and you are very brave my friend... :) Hugs! debjinxxxygirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12349344319328467284noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3402363028023891254.post-67815188166185970202015-03-03T18:36:28.155-08:002015-03-03T18:36:28.155-08:00Ohhhh! The sweetest treasure is darling Mrs. Rose!...Ohhhh! The sweetest treasure is darling Mrs. Rose!!
I clicked to enlarge the image to really see her. It's as though she's looking at me... although, I know that's not true, but, I'll content myself with that thought.
The cutest face she has!
And her wee paw on the mossy stone. My heart has melted into a puddle.
I think of her so very often, I really do! And, am in awe that she honours you with her trust - you, Victoria, the Magic Mountain Mama to all wild beings.

I too wish a long, long life for this most darling of all wild creatures. She has a warm place in my heart, even though I've never met her.
She is extra special, with her delightful pink nose :)
Tell her, Vicki from across the sea, sends her love when you see her this evening, please.

And please everyone, be kind to animals on this, and all days, always.
xxx

Vickihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16023748614942747415noreply@blogger.com
