We finally got a little snow, about 4 or 5 inches. It was wonderful to sit inside and watch the snowflakes falling thick and fast from the sky, sometimes falling straight down, sometimes blown sideways in shifting veils by the wind, sometimes falling in twirling spirals, each snowflake a blessing.
Now, if we can just get another 8 or 9 feet before the end of our 'official' snow and rain season in March, we'll be up to normal. And, if the Sierra mountains to the north of us can get 20 to 30 feet of snow in the same time period California will be in good shape, water-wise. But I really don't think that will happen...
