Sky Watch Friday

Looking over Lake Gregory to the San Gabriel mountain range.  Taken earlier this week.  Today and yesterday were cloudy, but no rain fell.  The weatherman says we have another chance to get rain on Sunday, so I'm crossing my fingers!

Light and Shadow

San Gorgonio and the eastern end of the San Bernardino valley in light and shadow and rain.  Yes, it finally rained in Southern California!  Up here in the mountains we received a little over two inches of the precious water drops.  The rain was accompanied by the most intense, and longest, thunderstorm I've ever experienced.  It sounded like it was right over us, and it lasted for over six hours!  Happily, the lightening didn't start any fires.

O is for October

And October is full of  friends, young and old, dropping by...

Sometimes from unexpected places, waving hello as we observe them from the ground.

Whirling, swirling...

beautifully colored leaves.

October is full of orange pumpkins small...

Orange pumpkins glittery and scary...

And some orange pumpkins that are glowing.

October is full of Halloween parties...

With an over-abundance (as far as my waistline is concerned) of lovely treats to eat. 

And, at my home, October is full of kitties snuggling on the hearth, oblivious to Halloween decorations.  (That's Stella on the left, Penelope on the right).

I hope the rest of October is full of happiness for everyone...

Sailing

Clouds...I never tire of watching, admiring and photographing them.
