Faeries Friday - Rowan

Rowan is one of the many Faeries who live in my studio. She was a gift from my husband, and I named her Rowan because the leaves on her bodice and tights sort of remind me of the leaves of a Rowan tree.

  3. Depends on the culture: Druids thought Rowan, or Mountain Ash, to be helpful in their magical spells, the English thought it protected AGAINST witchcraft, and so on...

  4. This fairy is just beautiful. The Rowan is a magical tree for many reasons. They say, on Beltane, if you gather some fallen Rowan branches, there is a ceremony that can be performed to enable you to look through the circle made and see fairies.
