Abstract Ice

I can't seem to get over my endless fascination with the colors and textures that are hidden in ice, glass and other reflective things.  It would take me about three days to do this in oils, more if I did it in watercolor.  Of course, if I did take the time for watercolors, it would be much sharper with crisper edges and more definition...but playing with the computer is fun, too.  Left click to enlarge.

  1. This is so beautiful -- I can't begin to imagine trying to reproduce it in paint.

Hope your pipes are still unfrozen -- we (and when I say we, I mean my husband) have fought that battle too many times.

  2. Thanks, Vicki. Our pipes are still unfrozen (knock on wood). We replaced the insulation the raccoons had torn off and I check it all the time...not that I'm nervous about them tearing it off again...HA!

Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment, I appreciate it!
