Sunday Sunlight

This is the thing I love best about living in a forest: The way the light constantly shifts and changes, highlighting one thing then obscuring it with shadow, only to showcase something else in light.  The light dances, especially when there is a little breeze for a partner, and if you sit in one place for ten minutes you might see twenty or more different views of the same thing.

  1. Love your picture, I thought I was looking out of my kitchen window.' Beauty is in the eye of the beholder' not sure who's quote that is, but it's so true.

  3. I lived in TX for years and years.......and at one point we took a trip to Albuquerque, NM and took the tram up to Sandia Peak. There is a beautiful forest at the peak. You'll never guess what held me spellbound ........................................... the sound of the wind blowing thru the leaves, the rustling of the trees against each other. I hadn't realized it had been SO long since i heard that sound.....Thats not to say we didn't have trees in TX...we did... but not very big ones....mostly cactus......lol.... Hugs! deb

  4. Lovely picture. I know what you're saying. I often become spellbound, particularly during the summer at certain times of day when the light and shadow touches the trees and the mosses.

  6. I love looking at light through the leaves of trees! I want to live in a forest or at least a big garden with trees one day!

  7. Like stained glass -- only better. The great cathedrals are probably Man's attempt to evoke the sacred groves.
