New Year's Day with The Rose Parade

Some of the beautiful floats from the 127th Rose Parade, held every January 1st in Pasadena, California.  I find it pretty amazing that everything on every float, (except humans of course), must be made from flowers, leaves, bark, seeds, and other vegetation.  Nothing else can be used, even for the shiny bits that look like metal. All the floats are made by hand by volunteers.  Amazing! (All photos are from Facebook).

  1. Dear Victoria - wonderful photos. It is amazing how everything is created from nature's lovely bounty. Hope you have a wonderful new year.

  2. Really??
    Incredible!!!
Such talent to create these natural masterpieces on a large scale - and quickly too I imagine, so that everything remained fresh for the parade.

I had to pick my jaw off the table...
