October

"O hushed October morning mild,
Thy leaves have ripened to the fall;
Tomorrow's wind, if it be wild,
Should waste them all.
The crows above the forest call
Tomorrow they may form and go.
O hushed October morning mild,
Begin the hours of this day slow.
Make the day seem to us less brief.
Hearts not averse to being beguiled,
Beguile us in the way you know.
Release one leaf at break of day;
At noon release another leaf;
One from our trees, one far away"

Robert Frost ~ "October"

  1. Oh, be still my autumn loving heart. Perfect words for a perfect image, Victoria.

    I just love the showers of autumn leaves as they dance and whirl to the ground.

    Looking forward to more seasonal goodness... and please continue to indulge with Halloween pics, for a wanna be northern dweller :)

  2. Vicki, that's one of my favorite things to do, watch the autumn leaves as they swirl and fly. I feel especially lucky if I happen to be out in them when they're doing that. Lots of Halloween pics to come...

    Vicki L, glad you liked it.
