Rain is grace; rain is the sky descending to the earth; without rain, there would be no life. John Updike
Raining is what the sky is doing here today, thanks to Hurricane Linda. It's been raining since around two this morning...such blessed relief! The horror of what has happened in Northern California could, all too easily, happen here. The fires are still raging there, we're all hoping they get rain soon, too.
I could swear I heard the whole mountain sigh with relief when the rain started. We've received a little over three inches so far and the rain is supposed to continue, intermittently, through tomorrow. Maybe fire season is over for this year!

Oh I do hope it's an end to your fire season, Victoria.
ReplyDeleteSo glad there is the blessed sound of rain on the roof and all around your magic mountain.
When I saw the previous post's photo, I so hoped that it was recent and that it would bring rain.
It is so wonderful to see such cloud formations - especially when they bring with them what they should :)
xx
How delightful to know that you have rain and the the woods are wet! I know the feeling well!
