"Of all the means of expression, photography is the only one that fixes forever the precise and transitory instant. We photographers deal in things which are continually vanishing and, when they have vanished, there is no contrivance which can make them come back again."
~ Henri Cartier-Bresson
So very true.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Henri Cartier-Bresson's work. I went to an exhibition of his long ago and was touched how his photographs could affect me as they did.
The light. The subjects. The humanity.
Pure artistry. A master.
Vicki, lucky you! I missed out when the San Francisco MOMA had an exhibition of his work back in 2010. He was so amazing at capturing the human spirit.
