Happy October!

I should have posted this yesterday, but I didn't realize that yesterday was the first of October.  I don't know how I avoided seeing that, since the date is on my cellphone, my laptop, my Kindle and, let's not forget, the good old-fashioned calendar that hangs on the wall in the back hallway right at eye level...but I did!  (I wish Blogger had emoticons, or whatever they're called now.  An embarrassed smiley face would be so handy right now, ha ha.).
