I took this on September 9 at Lake Arrowhead. Just one or two boats on the water, the children all in school, summer people gone, I stood looking out at the blue, blue water and listening to the breeze passing through the oaks and pines. A gift, followed by another one of this leaf highlighted by the sun. Little gifts...they're given all the time, if we just slow down enough to be aware...
That's a lovely shot :) I also enjoyed your previous post with the fallen leaves. This year was a strange year for us with the weather staying hot right through September. The trees didn't turn until the last couple of weeks, and then they weren't as good as they were last year. I feel I missed out a bit on the autumn colours this year. Glad to hear you've had some rain, although I too have seen the news reports with the mud slides in California. We had snow yesterday. Although it was just flying around while we were driving, other cars passing us had snow piled on their car roofs! Too soon for all that nonsense! Enjoy your week Victoria!

Ah Victoria such a lovely photo with wise words as well. Thank you for sharing Sunday's sunlight. Hugs
ReplyDeleteQuiet time on your beautiful lake. Bliss.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely photo. There's something so mesmerising about light through leaves - a magical luminescence that I can lost in and forget whatever else I was doing.
Just as it should be... taking time to just 'be' for a while, and immerse in nature. So healing.
