A Quotation For Monday

"I am not a lover of lawns.  Rather I would see daisies in their thousands,
ground ivy, hawk weed, and even the hated plantain with tall stems, and dandelions with splendid flowers
and fairy down, than the too-well-tended lawn."  ~  W.H. Hudson

  1. Oh, I so agree!
What people call troublesome weeds, are herbs for health!
To me a "meadow lawn" is Nature's Apothecary :)

  2. Me too! I love your blog and will look forward to reading your archives.

  3. "Nature's Apothecary." I really like that, Vicki! And, it's so true.

NC, I'm happy you like my blog, thank you!

  4. I agree. I particularly like to see the Dandelion. Such bright and cheerful faces.

  5. I agree with this quote too - I enjoy all the wild flowers that make the woods their home as well as the meadows filled with mustard, violets and such.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment, I appreciate it!
