A Quotation For Monday

"I am not a lover of lawns.  Rather I would see daisies in their thousands,
ground ivy, hawk weed, and even the hated plantain with tall stems, and dandelions with splendid flowers
and fairy down, than the too-well-tended lawn."  ~  W.H. Hudson

  1. Oh, I so agree!
What people call troublesome weeds, are herbs for health!
To me a "meadow lawn" is Nature's Apothecary :)

  4. I agree. I particularly like to see the Dandelion. Such bright and cheerful faces.

  5. I agree with this quote too - I enjoy all the wild flowers that make the woods their home as well as the meadows filled with mustard, violets and such.
