The lilacs are in bloom here and the scent that fills the air is amazing. I wish everyone could smell it just by clicking on the picture...wouldn't that be something? This is the earliest they've ever bloomed, and they timed it just right this year. It's been mild the last few days but the temperatures are supposed to drop again by the middle of next week. I'm surprised, and grateful, that the lilacs bloomed at all this year considering what a very dry winter we had and, so far, this spring hasn't been any better. Our rainy season ended in March but, with the weather being so unpredictable nowadays, I'm not giving up hope that we still might get some good rains.
Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSuch sensory ambrosia can propel one to another time and place in an instant.
Wishing you the heady scent of lilacs in the misty rain.
Victoria, I'm just letting a few of my blogging friends know .. my 38 year old daughter had a heart attack last Friday early morning. I'm so worried because here in Florida it's so hard to get help and she's been disabled with her auto immune disease for years and hasn't had any health cover or income for that matter. My biggest concern right now is how to get some kind of help so she can get follow up care when she must have. Not much help here for here. I'm so worried and I know that doesn't help.
ReplyDeleteLove and Light,
Jan
Jan, I'm so sorry about your daughter, I hope she makes a complete recovery. She (and you) are in my prayers. I wish I could do more...
ReplyDeleteMany blessings to both of you.
Vicki, thank you for your wishes for rain for us, they are very appreciated!
ReplyDeleteStunningly beautiful, they look delightful :)
ReplyDeleteDear Victoria - your lilacs are lovely and I can almost smell their fragrance. Sorry it continues to be so dry...hope that the weather will bring you some unexpected showers - it has been dry here too but in the past couple of weeks we have finally gotten some great spring rains. Take care and thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kyra, I'm happy you liked them.
ReplyDeleteDebbie, thank you for your rain wishes!
