Unfamiliar Weather

We got a tiny bit of rain last night, then a light dusting of snow.  I think these two Steller Jays haven't seen snow in so long they've forgotten what it is!  The tiny bit of rain and snow aren't anywhere near what we need to get out of this terrible drought, but maybe it's a start...I'm crossing my fingers.

  1. I'm crossing my fingers, and toes, for you too :)
Those lovely birds look gorgeous against the snow-white backdrop.

Thinking snowy thoughts to chase the unseasonal weather away xx

  3. What a gorgeous shot of the jays! We don't have stellar jays here, but I've always admired them. I hope you get some more much needed precipitation soon! Wendy x

  4. Dear Victoria - praying you will be coming out of the drought. I am hopeful that this is a start as well. Your jays are slightly different than ours...looks though like ours you can't tell the female from the male. Hope you are staying warm and safe. Have a lovely day.

  5. Wendy and Debbie, thank you for your rain wishes for us, we need all the help we can get.

Debbie, our jays are like yours in that the male and females look exactly the same.

  6. What fabulous looking birds. We only have the blue jay and common jay here. Mind you, they're all beautiful.
