"Weeds are flowers, too, once you get to know them." AA MilneI agree, Mr. Milne. Well, except for chickweed and foxtails. These little 'weeds' are called Splendid Gilia. You usually see them in sunny areas by the road as you zoom along in your car and your impression is of a tiny, pinkish purple 'spot' on top of thin, spindly stems. But, get up close. Suddenly you see why the word 'splendid' is in their name!
