It's Tea Time

Thanks to Vanessa for hosting this!  To see all the party posts, click on the badge on the right.  Now...

"Oh, I say, March Hare, good to see you here!  Have you seen Cheshire?

"Yes, White Rabbit, he's up in the trees.  I've seen other magical folk, too."

"March, I hope the Fae Folk behave themselves.  You know how they can be sometimes."  "Oh, I don't know about that, WR.  Some of them are quite charming."

"Well, we'd best get on.  Tea party is waiting..."

"Hi, I'm Fay Bunn!  Follow me, the rabbit always gets lost...'cause he won't listen to me."

"Hello, I'm Alice.  What.  You didn't know I'm actually a Faery?  Well.  I'm from Storyland, I can be anything I want to be.  But as Alice, I'm 149 years old!  Trust me, I look way better as a Faery.  And, trust me on this, too: If something has a label that says 'Eat Me' or 'Drink Me' don't touch it!  The tea party is just round there...but don't tell Fay you could find it without her.  She has such fun at these parties."

"Right here, right this way!  I'm sure the human will be along shortly."

Hey, I'm so glad you're here, welcome!  I've lots of treats for you...

Lavender wine in Faery goblets...

Scrumptious lemon cupcakes, chocolate cupcakes with raspberry jam filling, a strawberry-mocha-chocolate cake, carrot cake (my favorite), two kinds of tea and delicious chocolates with a cream center.

Wait a minute...this teapot had chocolates all around it.  Who...?

Fay!!  "Well, you should have kept your eye on me, I mean them.  You know I can't, I just can't, can't, can't resist chocolates!"

Well, I apologize.  No chocolates.  Who would like a cup of tea?

"ME!  Fill 'er up, I wanna soak my paws.  All this directing has given me sore tootsies!"  (Don't worry, I washed the cup...now on with the party).

The roses are starting to sparkle...a sure sign that the evening faeries are around.

And it's getting dark.  There goes little Fay, probably off to some other party.

Thank you so much for coming!  A very happy unbirthday to everyone!  Oh...I never did see the Mad Hatter, did you?  Or the White Rabbit...

"I say, where is everyone?  Oh my ears and whiskers, I'm late again!"

"Poor White Rabbit, he's always late.  But, I'm sure Glenda the Good Witch will see that the little fellow gets his tea and cake!  I know, different story.  But hey, I'm La Luna...and perhaps other folk, too.  Look up tonight...I'm full...and I shine the same light on each and every one of you."

Grow Your Blog Party 2014

Hi, I'm Victoria.  If you're already a friend, whether by following, adding me to your list of blogs on your sidebar, or commenting, I'm very grateful for your friendship!  If you're a new friend, welcome to my blog!  I'm a painter (mostly portraits) and a photographer, both rather solitary occupations.  Blogging gives me another outlet for my creativity and, more importantly, lets me connect with people from all over the world.  I'm constantly inspired, uplifted and amazed every day by fellow bloggers.

I love animals and nature, so I feel very blessed to live where I do, high up in a beautiful mountain forest in California.  When I'm not taking care of my family (human and four footed ones), or painting in my studio, or out hiking around these mountains taking photos, I love to read, bake, watch favorite movies, garden, teach my grandchildren and nieces about the forest and the animals that live in it, tell them stories about faeries and teach them about our heritage: Native American and Northern Italian on my side, Canadian, English and Irish on their grandfather/uncle's side. If they're interested, I love to teach them how to draw, paint and take photographs.

Thanks for visiting!  To see the list of other party participants, click here.  Vicki, thank you so much for hosting and organizing this party!

5th Annual Halloween Party - A Sisters Halloween

It's that time of year!  It's Vanessa Valencia's 5th annual Halloween blog party, and my first time participating in it.  Thank you so much, Vanessa, for hosting this.  To see the other parties, click the link at the top right of the sidebar.  (Left click on the photos to enlarge them).

I had a hard time deciding what piece of jewelry to wear...so I just piled all of it on!  I do so love moons.  Of course, my eldest sister, Patricia, will probably 'relieve' me of some of it when she arrives, ha!

Won't you come in?  Watch your step on the walkway, there are lots of spirits floating about.  Oh!  Is that the Great Pumpkin I see on top of the arbor?  Yes, yes, I think it is!

I have some goodies for us to nibble on...

And some lovely goblets from which we can sip a delicious potion or two...(I couldn't find my Halloween 'Spider Venom' mugs, I can't imagine where they've gone off to...)

Look!  They have little images of our sisters flying on their brooms at the bottom (although I don't know why people insist on making witches look ugly...I've never ever seen an ugly one).  Ooh, and there are pumpkins and ghosts and even a little cat!

And an owl and a flying monkey.

Please, have some cookies and candy corn...

and cupcakes, too.

This is Miss Georgia, don't you just love her red curls?  That's Miss Tabitha Twitchett behind her.  She's in a bad mood because she didn't want to sit holding the lantern for so long, so please excuse her expression.

Miss Georgia insisted on a close-up.  Well, who can blame her?

Miss Georgia thought you might enjoy having your fortune told by her friend, Miss Fortuna.

Miss Fortuna is a very wise, kind witch with a wondrous gift of seeing the future...your future.  I'm sure she'll have something good to tell you!

Gloria (on the left) and Stella Bella (on the right) are waiting for us to get our hats and cloaks and fly up to my studio...they've heard my sister's party has started.

Of course, Merlin wants to go along, too!

Just let me plop my hat on my head before the cats eat all the feathers.

Edwina says sisters are flying in from all directions!

What a lovely lavender light Luna is glowing with tonight!

Oh, we'd better stop on the stairs to say hello to the Faeries that live in this forest.  We wouldn't want to hurt their feelings...

Yep, my eldest sister is definitely here!

She made a pumpkin path for us.  She doesn't get that whole 'yellow brick road' song.  She likes to sing 'follow the orange pumpkin path.'  Yeah...I know.

I just noticed, she managed to talk the trees into producing magical pumpkin fruit!

Oh yum, it looks like she has caramel apples and chocolate cake and champagne!  Hey, there are my Halloween mugs.  No wonder I couldn't find them earlier.  And I think I see my Halloween plates, too.  Ahhh, sisters...but what would I do without her?

And both of us are..........

Filled with lots of good magic, wonderful amazements, and, of course, lots of candy!

The Bewitching Home Blog Party

Thank you, Tenae, for hosting this party!  To see the others click on the party badge at the upper right side of my sidebar.  To enlarge my pictures, left click.

This is my living room mantle.  I decorate on the lighter side because the youngest members of my family like it that way.

I painted the 'Happy Halloween' kitty in the basket years ago.

The Catwell Family, who live on top of one of the armoires in my living room at this time of year, look a little nervous...

Maybe the ghosts on top of the other armoire are scaring them!

And as we all get ready for our gathering...

The Halloween Moon, (she is magically full from the first of October  through the night of Halloween), looks on...

While Georgie and all of us here say that we are....

And a most magical one!
